This package contains:
- 350 g baking mix
- 60 g apple pieces (natural, carefully dried)
- 100 g quark filling
|
To be added:
- Dough: add 110 g butter or margarine plus 1 egg
- Apple pieces: 180 ml hot water
- Quark filling: 250 g fresh quark, 1 egg and 100 ml water
- Sufficient mixture for one spring form Ø 25 cm
|
Preparation:
- Place the apple pieces in a small bowl with 180 ml hot water and allow to swell for at least.
- Place the dough mix into a bowl with the egg, butter or margarine and knead well or mix with a hand mixer or electric mixer on the lowest speed for around 2 minutes until it attains a breadcrumb-like consistency. Grease a spring form and press around 2/3 of the mixture into the form as a base.
- Place the quark filling into a bowl, add 250 g fresh quark, one egg and 100 ml water and mix with an electric mixer for 3 minutes at highest speed until the mixture attains a creamy consistency.
- Drain the apple pieces and fold them into the quark mixture, then spread the mixture over the prepared dough base. Finally spread the rest of the crumble mixture (1/3 of the dough) over the apple-quark filling. Place the cake form onto the lowest rack in the preheated oven and bake for around 50 minutes.
|
Oven temperatures:
- Electric oven at around 180 °C (preheated)
- Hot air oven around 170 °C
- Gas oven at gas mark 3-4
