This package contains:
  • 350 g baking mix
  • 60 g apple pieces (natural, carefully dried)
  • 100 g quark filling
To be added:
  • Dough: add 110 g butter or margarine plus 1 egg
  • Apple pieces: 180 ml hot water
  • Quark filling: 250 g fresh quark, 1 egg and 100 ml water
  • Sufficient mixture for one spring form Ø 25 cm
Preparation:
  • Place the apple pieces in a small bowl with 180 ml hot water and allow to swell for at least.
  • Place the dough mix into a bowl with the egg, butter or margarine and knead well or mix with a hand mixer or electric mixer on the lowest speed for around 2 minutes until it attains a breadcrumb-like consistency. Grease a spring form and press around 2/3 of the mixture into the form as a base.
  • Place the quark filling into a bowl, add 250 g fresh quark, one egg and 100 ml water and mix with an electric mixer for 3 minutes at highest speed until the mixture attains a creamy consistency.
  • Drain the apple pieces and fold them into the quark mixture, then spread the mixture over the prepared dough base. Finally spread the rest of the crumble mixture (1/3 of the dough) over the apple-quark filling. Place the cake form onto the lowest rack in the preheated oven and bake for around 50 minutes.
Oven temperatures:
  • Electric oven at around 180 °C (preheated)
  • Hot air oven around 170 °C
  • Gas oven at gas mark 3-4
